NJH FAQ

Pick-up will be at the Northeast corner of the junior high building.

He/She must check in at the main office with the following information:
- Note from an appointment (will be coded as an excused absence)
 - Parent note or call (will be coded as a verified absence)
 - Parent checks the student in (will be coded as a verified absence)
 - If there is no parent response, the absence will be coded unverified.

Parent or guardian will need to come into the school to check out student from school early.

Please call the attendance line at 417-724-6400 or you may send an email verifying the absence to Jenni McCarthy at
jennimccarthy@nixaschools.net . When requesting homework, please email your child’s core teachers and make arrangements with them to pick up the homework. 

All absences not verified by a parent/guardian or excused by a doctor will be counted as an unverified absence.

All students riding the bus home with a friend must have a note from the parent with the name of the student he/she will be going home with, the bus number, and parent phone number. All bus notes must be submitted to the front office BEFORE FIRST HOUR to be verified before the student can get on the bus.

Always contact the classroom teacher first. He/She has the most information about your child.
